Self-concept P2: Reprogram yourself, the why and the how

Why?

Why would you need to “reprogram” yourself?

What if…

You've just fallen into a dark “well”, with thick darkness all around you, the kind of place that makes you doubt your own existence and your own worth?

Or you're in a safe phase where everything is “just enough”, yet you know there's lava quietly boiling beneath the mountain, waiting for the day it erupts…

BUT you've walked this road long enough to spot a familiar loop (a pattern): the experiences, situations, people, relationships, emotions and lessons that have triggered your heart before.

AND deep in your heart you realize your dreams and desires are bigger than where you are now. You deserve better than this.

You know your comfort zone well, the things society calls “fine” or “enough”… but somewhere inside, something keeps pushing you to create a NEW REALITY on your own terms, because you know you're meant for something bigger.

This is when you need to REPROGRAM YOURSELF AND SHIFT TO A NEW REALITY.

How?

Understanding the “reality loop”

We live inside a loop that repeats over and over.

Here is the reality loop model: BELIEF - THOUGHT - EMOTION - ACTION - RESULT.

Your beliefs shape your thoughts, your thoughts affect your emotions, your emotions drive your actions, and your actions determine your results. If you want different results, you have to start by changing your core beliefs.

This model helps you:

  • See the problem clearly, right down to its roots
  • Break the limiting beliefs, loops and invisible barriers that hold back your growth.
  • Build a new belief system, "from the old you to the better you."
  • Which negative thoughts are running your life?

Identify your limiting beliefs

  • What are you afraid of?
  • Which beliefs are holding you back?
  • Are they actually true?

Replace them with new beliefs

  • Write down what you want to believe about yourself.
  • Look for evidence that supports the new belief.

Set up a new reality

  • Reprogram your thinking: Shift your perspective and change how you interpret what happens to you.
  • Act on your new beliefs: Change only counts when you put it into practice.
  • Keep going and adjust: Notice how things change over time and adjust when you need to.

Core lesson: Change only counts when you put it into practice. You are building a better version of yourself, one day at a time.
